Hi, I'm a Visalia based photographer specializing in creative portraiture for high school seniors, clothing brands, professionals, as well as weddings and family portraits.
A native of Visalia California, I originally became interested in art as a kid by reading comic books, learning to draw by studying the work of my favorite artists for hours and hours. This led to an interest in other art mediums such as painting, photography, and printmaking.
Graduating in 2006 from Long Beach State University with a BFA in Printmaking, I then discovered a passion for working with students. The turning point was working part-time at the Isabel Patterson Child Development Center, which led to a career in teaching. In 2009, I was hired to teach Photography and Yearbook at Golden West High School, which has been my most rewarding endeavor to date. Over the years, I began taking on more and more client work when in 2017, I decided to go all in and pursue my own business full time.
Besides photography, I enjoy backpacking, especially in Sequoia and Yosemite National Parks. I also enjoy time with family and friends, movies, my dog Buddy, and a large bowl of cereal whenever possible.
My career goal is that when its all said and done, I want to know that I made a difference by leading a creative and responsible company that made a positive impact on those I worked with and the world in general. I know, easy right? But I believe it can be done, one interaction at a time.
